TL;DR THC tolerance is dynamic. Start with one Cann and wait to feel its effects before going in for another. Cann was made to be sessionable.

Find Your Drink Number

Let me start with a few disclaimers. First, if you're a stoner / Cannasseur / whatever you wanna call it, get outta here! Your ability to get too affected from drinking Cann is limited, if anything, by the size of your bladder. Love you though. Mean it.

Okay now that all the stoners are gone, can we talk about how much of  a bummer it must be for your preferred method of consumption to be one that stinks up any space you do it in? Not to mention the impact of smoke on your lungs. Can we also talk about how much of a bummer the side effects of alcohol can be? I don’t need anything making me anxious or bloated or worse, texting my ex. Yikes…But I digress ;)

Second, Nobody can speak with certainty to how any substance with a psychoactive component will make you feel. Everybody is different and, ultimately, trying something new is a leap of faith. Cann was created to turn that leap into more of a cute bunny hop while providing a better-for-you social beverage option. So, if you’re looking for something different and better, you’re in the right place. Now, let’s find your drink number!

For the first timers:

The onset period (fancy term for the amount of time it takes to feel the effect) for Cann is typically about 15-20 minutes long. Make sure to wait the full 20 minutes before going in for another. It is entirely possible that you feel next to nothing from a single Cann however, some people will find their “sweet spot” will be just one, and that’s okay! Lightweights are people too. If you really want to ease into it, try our Lo Boy with just 1mg THC. Cann was made to be sessionable so that you can build your buzz gradually.

For the experienced consumers:

It is important to remember that THC tolerance is dynamic - If you take edibles often, it is likely that you will need a few Canns to catch your buzz. If you used to take edibles often, but haven’t in a while, it is likely your tolerance is now more comparable to a first timer.  Either way, we’d still recommend starting with one and considering the onset period before reaching for round 2.

I know now you might be thinking “okay, so will I even feel one?”, and to that I want to harken back to my second disclaimer and remind you that I don’t know for certain! But I do know that this is why we sell our Canns in six packs. The idea behind making beverages with such low and precise dosages is that they are sessionable. Think about how you drink beer or wine. People don’t usually expect to feel much after a single drink; they know after the second drink they need to consider how viable a third is; they know after a fourth or fifth drink they’re liable to text someone they shouldn’t; and a few more past that will leave them ptfo with their head in a toilet. While the effects of thc is nothing like alcohol on the body and mind, the general concept of being able to estimate your level of intoxication by tracking your intake is the same.

The moral of the story is: just try one! If you want to be extra cautious and nurse one Cann slowly over the course of a whole night, that’s totally an option. If you want to shotgun a hi-boy, that is also totally an option. You might even find that one Cann is perfect for helping you bypass a mental block at work (I did that while writing this article), two Canns are perfect for a night out (I’m about to do that when I finish writing this article), and a third Cann is the perfect night cap. Just be sensible and make it your own! And I would add to approach Cann safely but, if you’re the type of person who read this all the way to the end of this article, I already know you will.

Cheers!
